There is a $50 non-refundable testing fee for students not currently enrolled in Riverbend, who
are applying for Elementary.  Payment of this testing fee does not guarantee admission.

* An activity fee for Kindergarten and Elementary students is paid per semester per child in the amount of $175.00 each semester.  This fee is due in August and January of the school year.

Extra Hours

Before and after school hours are available for Riverbend students enrolled in the 3-6 and Elementary class.

____3:15 pm to 5:30 pm $110 per month ^late fee for pick-ups after 5:30 pm

Registration and Security Deposit
There is a yearly registration fee of $175 per student and $200 per family with 2 or more siblings.  This fee is due at the time of the application, and once a space is offered and accepted, the fee becomes non-refundable.
       
A security deposit equal to one-half of one month’s tuition is due by May 23, 2008, and it is non-refundable.  During the 2008-2009 school year, if you provide one month’s written notice of withdrawal, the deposit will be applied to any outstanding tuition with the balance returned, otherwise it will be applied to May 2009 tuition.

Tuition shall be paid in ten equal monthly installments from August through May.  Parents agree and understand that they are responsible for the entire monthly payment, regardless of the number of days absent.  A fee of $5.00 will be charged on all returned checks.  Tuition received after the 16th of the month for 2 or more months will be charged a late fee of $10.00.

A $10 late pick up fee will be assessed after the last car in the line up has left. Families with 3 or more siblings enrolled in Riverbend will receive a 10% discount on the lower tuition for each enrolled sibling.

All children new to Riverbend are admitted for a provisional period of six weeks.


Acceptance into one of the Riverbend Montessori classrooms involves a 6 step process:

1. Applications
Application forms may be obtained from the school office and submitted at any time. When the application is completed and returned to the school, the child is eligible for consideration as vacancies arise.

2. Formal Tour
We encourage parents to take a formal tour of the school in order to have the opportunity to observe each of the class levels offered at Riverbend. A general overview of the Montessori Education will be discussed. An appointment is required for a formal tour which can be arranged through the office at 281-980-4123.

3. Parent Interview
As the parent tours the school, many specific questions or concerns may arise. During the interview, parents and the administrator have an opportunity to address those specific areas regarding each child.

4. Informal Interview with the Child
This is a one-on-one time for the school to be introduced to the child and the child to view the school for the first time. At this time, each applicant will be placed on a waiting list and will be considered for placement as openings occur.

5. Classroom Placement
Once an available space is acceptable to the parents, the registration fee is due to finalize the application process. For the fall enrollment, a security deposit is due by June 1st to hold the space. During the school year, the security deposit is due at the time of the registration fee. The security deposit is equal to one-half month's tuition. It is refundable upon one month's written notice of your child leaving the school. If your child attends all school year, the security deposit is applied to May's tuition.

6. Testing for Elementary
New students wishing to enroll in the Elementary classes will need to take an assessment test. A $50.00 non-refundable fee is required in order to take the test.
